Can I edit a scanned PDF?
Scanned PDFs are images with no real text layer. You can still place text, shapes, and signatures on top of them — the editor detects scanned PDFs on load and lets you know. Is there a file size limit?
No artificial limit is imposed by the editor — it runs in the browser so your device memory is the only constraint. Most PDFs up to several hundred MB work without issues.

If your PDF is a scanned image, it has no real text layer — we detect this on load and tell you clearly, rather than letting you discover it mid-edit.
Signatures are not legal attestations

Whiteout is not redaction
Covering text with a white box hides it visually but does not remove the underlying data from the file. Never use whiteout for sensitive information.
